    Odyssey - 4 Mal in den Top 10 von Steam

    Odyssey hat die Charts von Steam in kurzer Zeit überrannt.

    Da es so viele unterschiedliche Editionen davon gibt, ist es insgesamt 4 Mal in den Top 10 von Steam vertreten. Davon sind drei auf den ersten drei Plätzen. Welche Editionen das genau sind, wissen wir nicht. Dazu gibt Steam keine Informationen Preis.

    Wöchentlich werden die Steam-Charts in einem XML-Feed ausgegeben. Die nachfolgenden Charts stammen vom 1. bis zum 6. Oktober.

    Odyssey - Technik-Check von GameStar

    Wer sich nicht durch viele und lange Techniktests durchlesen möchte, der sollte sich den kurzen Technik-Check von GameStar ansehen.

    Am Anfang berichten sie davon, dass es vor Origins viele Probleme bei dem PC gab. Verspätungen bei den Veröffentlichungen vorheriger Titel beim PC verärgerten die PC-Spieler. Und selbst nach der Veröffentlichung hatten die Version noch Fehler und Probleme, die beseitigt werden mussten.

    Der Experte Christoph „Hardware-Chris" Liedtke zeigt uns mit Dimitry Halley einen Einblick, wie Odyssey sich auf dem PC spielt. Hierbei gibt er grünes Licht für diese Fassung. Jene wurde seit Origins mit vielen neuen Einstellungen ausgestattet. Weitere Informationen zu den Einstellungen bei Odyssey findet ihr hier.

    Einige Weltglitches und Abstürze sind ihm bei seinem Tests aufgefallen, doch diese wurden mit dem Patch 1.0.3 schon behoben.

    Die Performance von Odyssey ist 10 bis 20% fordernder geworden als noch bei Origins. In UHD reicht keine Geforce GTX 1080 Ti mehr. Sie hatte gute Bildraten, aber erreicht keine 60 FPS. Die sind aber auch nicht bei der neuen Geforce RTX 2080 Ti drin.

    Bei Full HD und WQHD sieht es schon besser aus. Hier braucht man aber eine Grafikkarte mit mindestens 4 GB RAM. Er vermutet, dass weitere Patches dies noch verbessern könnten, doch fordernder als Origins wird Odyssey bleiben.

    Als Fazit teilt Liedtke Odyssey einen Tick unter Origins ein. Ubisoft hatte mit Origns eine große und offene Spielwelt gezeigt, die fordernd ist. Odyssey haut hier eine Schippe drauf, doch der WOW-Effekt bleibt aus. Zudem wünscht er sich etwas ausführlichere Beschreibungstexte und noch mehr Freiheiten bei den Einstellungen.

    Odyssey - Verbesserungen der PC-Version

    Das Team von Ubisoft Kiev, welches seit Assassin's Creed II mit an Bord ist, hat bei der Umsetzung der PC-Version von Odyssey Vollgas gegeben, um den Spielern ein noch besseres Spielerlebnis bieten zu können.

    Dazu meldete sich Andrei Lange, Associate Producer bei Ubisoft Kiev Folgendermaßen.

    „Wir haben während der Entwicklung der PC-Version von Assassin’s Creed viele neue Features eingebaut, die für dieses Franchise vollkommen neu waren.“

    „Was wir bei der Entwicklung von Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gemacht haben ist einfach diese Features neue Möglichkeiten abzuklopfen, diese weiter zu verfeinern und damit den Spielern mehr Möglichkeiten und Komfort bieten zu können. Wir haben auch die neuen Features von Odyssey den Erwartungen der PC-Spieler angepasst. Wir sind den globalen Prinzipien gefolgt, die wir bereits seit Origins haben: Den Spielern alle Werkzeuge und Optionen an die Hand geben die sie brauchen, um ihr Spielerlebnis den eigenen Ansprüchen entsprechend gestalten zu können.

    Odyssey - Im Studio mit Scott Phillips

    Die Interviewreihe „Hinter den Kulissen im Studio" wird mit Odyssey weitergeführt. Das zeigt uns Game Director Scott Phillips, der als Erstes mit Fragen gelöchert wird.

    Dabei geht es um seinen Werdegang bei Ubisoft, das Kernteam von Syndicate, wie sie erneut für Odyssey zusammenkamen und vieles mehr.


    Werdegang bei Ubisoft
    Seit 2002 ist er in der Spielebranche tätig und kam 2014 als Game Director zu Ubisoft, wo er sogleich an Syndicate arbeitete. Da er nach einer Herausforderung suchte, gehörte der Wechsel in ein neues Land und einer neuen Sprache einfach dazu. Ganz unterschiedliche Zeiten waren ebenfalls mit von der Partie.


    Das Abenteuer mit Syndicate
    Als er mit Syndicate startete, ging Unity gerade durch die letzten Produktionsphasen. Einige Teile davon durfte er spielen. Somit sah er, wie Unity aussah und wie Syndicate aussahen wird und war von der Qualität überwältigt. Somit hatte er ein gutes Gefühl bezüglich dem Projekt, dem Studio und dem Ausmaß des Ganzen. Danach arbeitete er an Syndicate und lernte dabei das gesamte Team sehr gut kennen.

    Odyssey - Patch 1.0.3 | Update

    Der Changelog vom Patch 1.03 ist nun auf Englisch erschienen.

    Die Highlights davon sind das Hinzufügen einer Truhe auf der Adrestia, die 350 Inventarplätze besitzt und die Kocher wurden überarbeitet, die die maximale Anzahl von Pfeilen erhöhen, die sie enthalten können.

    Zudem wurden Verbesserungen bei Quests, Aktivitäten, Gameplay, Benutzerinterface, Welt, Grafik, Audio und System vorgenommen. Für PC-Spieler sollte es interessant sein, dass die Unterstützung für Prozessoren ohne AVX hinzugefügt wurde.

    Wir haben unsere Übersicht aktualisiert. Sobald die Übersetzung auf Deutsch vorhanden ist, werden wir sie erneut aktualisieren.

    Ubisoft gibt weiterhin an, dass dieser Patch große Spoiler der Story beinhalten.

    • Fixed an issue where eyelashes sometimes could have a placeholder texture after a transition from cutscene to gameplay.
    • Fixed an issue where players did not receive fire damage from the burning cloth in the Arena.
    • Fixed an issue where players were given prompts to perform a Rush Assassination or Overpower attacks on an NPC behind a wall, even if chaining failed.
    • Fixed an issue with the "Leap of Faith" ability (Lvl 3) that could cause issues when performing the jump from a lower heights
    • Fixed an issue with the "Multishot" ability that could cause too much damage when using it on a single target.
    • Fixed various issues with the Distract ability.
    • Fixed an issue where Clio could be killed by a crew member.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause Lieutenants or crew not to attack the enemy crew when the crew skin was changed before the boarding process was initiated.
    • Fixed an issue causing splash effects to appear in Photo Mode.
    • Fixed an issue during the "Though Love" quest where the quest giver would become frightened and run away if the player entered into conflict near them.
    • Fixed an issue preventing players from editing their ship after completing a boarding, until sailing away.
    • Fixed an issue that could cause the enemy ship's sails to appear intact while it's in a disabled state - after fast traveling to the Adrestia.
    • Fixed an issue where dagger kills would be counted as staff kills in perks challenges.
    • Fixed an issue where players would occasionally have difficulties climbing up an enemy ship.
    • Fixed the following perks not allowed to stack with themselves: Critical Chance while Full Health, Critical Chance while Low Health, Critical damage, Elemental Buildup
    • Fixed the following perks not working on their intended targets: Damage against Athenians, Damage against Spartans
    • [PC] While using M&K, player's movement speed has been slowed during walking.

    User Interface

    • Added an icon to player gear to indicate that it was engraved.
    • Added a celebration to the game when players solved an Ostraka.
    • Added that the Map legend appears in full screen now.
    • Added notifications to engravings that cannot be stacked.
    • Adjusted the Hunter's Belt waist armor inventory image to better reflect its looks in-game.
    • Adjusted the Cultist level indicator placement so it doesn't overlap with other UI elements.
    • Adjusted the Black Unicorn's store image to better reflect its look in-game.
    • Changed the font colour of "Stymphalos Armored Bird" location to gold for "Prince of Persia quest objectives.
    • Corrected a few issues with the Season Pass tile in the Featured tab of the In-Game Store.
    • Corrected shadow offset on the map for 'Foundry of Hephaistos'.
    • Improved selling speed of items at the Blacksmith.
    • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Temporary XP and drachmae booster from activating in-game.

    Odyssey - Update zum AVX Support

    Ubisoft reagiert auf vermehrte Berichte von PC-Abstürzen bei Odyssey.

    Im Ubisoft Forum hat sich ein Vertreter der Community gemeldet und schreibt, dass sie einen Mitverursacher für viele der Probleme finden konnten. Die Unterstützung von AVX ist bei den betroffenen CPUs die Ursache. Zudem beantworten sie die am häufigst gestellten Fragen dazu.

    Was ist AVX und wofür braucht Odyssey das?
    Advanced Vector Extensions, Kurzform für AVX, ist im Grunde eine Liste von Befehlsätzen der CPU. Ubisoft verwendet diese, da sie bestimmte Vectoroperationen schneller durchführen können. Dadurch ist es möglich, eine bessere Performance zu erreichen.

    Welche CPUs sind nun nicht unterstützt?
    Das wäre eine viel zu lange Liste, um sie alle aufzulisten. Die gängigsten Prozessoren sind die 1. Generation Intel Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium G und ein paar Intel Xeon Prozessoren.

    Sind die Systemanforderungen angepasst worden?
    Durchaus. Unsere Systemanforderungen sind nun entsprechend angepasst. Die Informationen zu AVX wurden ebenfalls hingefügt.

    Mindestvoraussetzungen sind nicht mehr gegeben - Was tun, wenn das Spiel schon gekauft ist?
    Ist das Spiel über den Ubisoft Store gekauft worden, so nimm bitte Kontakt über den Ubisoft Support auf. Hast du es woanders gekauft, dann über den zuständigen Händler.

    Im englischen Thread geben sie zudem bekannt, dass sie die Probleme mit AVX im nächsten Patch beheben werden. Weitere Informationen dazu bekommen wir nächste Woche.

    Odyssey - Patch 1.0.3 und 1.0.4

    Ubisoft startete mit der ersten Welle an Patches. Gestern wurde 1.03 veröffentlicht und morgen schon 1.04. Letzterer erscheint nur für die Konsolen.

    Aktuell liegen uns noch keine detaillierten Changelogs vor, sondern nur die Größen der beiden Patches. Wir halten euch diesbezüglich auf dem Laufenden.

    Rebellion - Voranmeldung gestartet

    Vor über einem Jahr veröffentlichte Ubisoft Mobile einen Teaser zu dem Handyspiel Rebellion. Nun haben sie die Voranmeldung dieses Spieles bekanntgegeben.

    Wähle von über 40 auswählbaren Assassinen jene aus, die deiner eigenen Bruderschaft beitreten sollen, wie z. B. Ezio Auditore, Aguilar de Nerha, Shao Jun, Ishak Pasha, Maria und viele weitere Helden.

    Das Spielprinzip ist simpel. Man erschafft seine eigene Bruderschaft und verwaltet danach sein Hauptquartier. Hierbei hat man unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten. Neue Räume einrichten, Ausrüstung fertigen, Rohstoffe sammeln, neue Arzneien herstellen, etc. Zudem müssen deine Assassinen unterrichtet werden, damit sie besser werden. Erst dann kannst du sie auf Missionen gegen die Templer schicken.

    Wenn du dich jetzt schon voranmeldet, bekommt du Belohnungen in Form von Münzen und Helix-Credits, um einen schnelleren Start ins Spiel zu erhalten. Außerdem erhält man Waffen aus dem erst kürzlich erschienen Odyssey, womit man seine Assassinen ausrüsten kann.

    Rebellion erscheint am 21. November kostenlos für iOS und Android.

    Odyssey - The Spartan reagiert auf Kommentare

    Odyssey - Legendäre Alexios Figur mit Unboxing

    Ubisoft hat in einem Video die Legendäre Alexios Figur vorgestellt. Einen Tag später veröffentlichen sie schon ein Unboxing dazu. Dieses möchten wir euch nicht vorenthalten.

    Die Figur, die komplett aus Kunstharz besteht, ist 68 cm groß. Sie ist nummeriert und limitiert auf 1.900 Exemplare. Beiliegend ist ein Echtheitszertifikat. Aktuell kostet sie im Ubisoft Store 749,99 Euro. Ein stolzer Preis für eine Figur.

    Man kann beim Kauf der Figur kostenlos die Gold Edition von Odyssey erhalten, wenn man den jeweiligen Aktionscode eingibt. Für Xbox ODYXBOX, für PlayStation 4 ODYPS4 und für den PC ODYPC. Zudem kann man mit 100 Club Units 20% Preinachlass erhalten.

    Laut dem Ubisoft Store ist sie schon seit dem 28. September verfügbar.

    Odyssey - Spielzeit der Hauptquests enthült

    PowerPyx hat bestätigt, wie lange sie insgesamt für Odyssey gebraucht haben.

    So kamen sie bei ihrem Durchlauf auf 41 Stunden. Es wurde Stufe 37 von 50 erreicht, ein Großteil der Dialoge angehört, doch nicht alle. Speziell die Dialoge von Nebenquests wurden übersprungen. Hierbei deckten sie die ganze Karte auf, was schon gut 5 bis 6 Stunden dauerte.

    Zwischen den Hauptquests sind große Stufenabstände. Es ist daher notwendig, Nebenquests zu machen, um die Hauptquests zu meistern. Zudem sind Nebenquests der einige Weg im Spiel, an Erfahrung zu kommen. Wenn man sich alle Dialoge anhört, ist man sicher bei über 50 Stunden. Überspringt man diese, könnte man es in 30 Stunden schaffen.

    Grob eine Stunde dauerte es, um eine Stufe aufzusteigen. Das sind ungefähr 4 bis 6 Quests, die man in dieser Zeit abschließen muss. Bis Stufe 50 dauert somit gut 50 Stunden. Möchte man das Spiel zu 100% durchspielen, braucht mal über 100 Stunden dafür.

    Bei ihrem Durchlauf verwendeten sie keine XP Boosters und fühlten sich immer unterlegen. Man konnte nicht einfach durchrennen. Sie waren gezwungen, Nebenquests machen, um weiter die Hauptquests schaffen zu können.

    Die Zeit zwischen Gesprächen und Gameplay war ausgeglichen. Die eine Hälfte waren sie damit beschäftigt, mit Charakteren zu sprechen und die andere Hälfte mit dem Erledigen von Quests.

    Es gibt insgesamt 9 Storysequenzen. Sie erwähnen hierbei genau, dass das Spiel danach noch nicht endet. Es gibt viele Inhalte nach dem Ende, wie z. B. Bosse in der Welt und eine Arena. Es gibt zudem auch viele andere Kapitel und Storyzweige, die nicht unbedingt für die Haupthandlung benötigt werden, aber immer noch als eigene Kapitel gelten und nach der Story gemacht werden können.

    Odyssey - Synchronisationsvergleich

    Je nach Belieben spielt ihr Odyssey auf Deutsch, Englisch oder in einer anderen Sprache eures Geschmackes. PC Games hat einen Vergleich der deutschen und englischen Synchronisationen auf YouTube hochgeladen.

    In meinem Befinden kann Julia Kaufmann, die deutsche Stimme von Kassandra, mit Melissanthi Mahut mithalten. Marios Gavrilis als Alexios kommt hierbei leider nicht an Michael Antonakos ran, welcher die englische Stimme für Alexios ist.
